Wilmington, DE – Witzke earns Second Team All-CACC for Softball

Lauren Witzke earned Second Team All-CACC honors for Women’s Softball for the 2009 season.

Witzke, a junior from Laurel, DE, started all 42 games for the Lightning this season.  She led the team in batting average with .387, hits with 48, runs scored with 28, doubles with 14, total bases with 62, slugging percentage with .500, on base percentage with .454, and stolen bases with 12.

Witzke is currently ranked 10^th in the CACC for batting average, 9^th in the CACC in stolen bases, 5^th in on base percentage and 5^th in steal attempts.
