NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Eleven Goldey-Beacom College athletes made the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team for the Fall 2009 athletic season as the conference office announced a total of 149 student-athletes among the 14 CACC schools that earned a spot on the team this year.
A total of 18 student-athletes earned All-Academic status for the third time, including GBC seniors Laura Yanacek (women's soccer) and Christine Hudock (volleyball). Meanwhile, 33 were honored for the second time, including GBC junior Adrianna Polimeni (women's soccer).
In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC Championship sport in the Fall. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher through the Fall semester.
