NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Kyle White of the Goldey-Beacom College men’s basketball team has earned honorable mention from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for the week ending Jan., 31, it was announced by the league office today. This marks the fourth week that White has been honored by the conference, including three player of the week laurels.
White, a 5-10 guard from Georgetown, Del., helped the Lightning to two impressive CACC victories over Holy Family University (93-67) and the North Division’s top-team, Bloomfield College, 88-61. During those two games he averaged 22.5 points, 7.0 assists and 6.5 rebounds per-game.
Against HFU on Jan. 28, White led GBC with 20 points to go with seven rebounds and six assists. He followed up that performance on Jan. 30 by leading all scorers against Bloomfield with 25 points, a career-high eight assists, and six rebounds.
In just his second year at GBC after transferring from Delaware State, White is already No. 4 on the school’s career scoring list (from 2001-present) with 844 points.
