PIKE CREEK, Del. – Goldey-Beacom College men's cross country head coach Brian Conley announced Mon., June 14 that Stewart Reich, a First Team All-Frederick County selection out of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School, has committed to run at GBC.
Reich recently completed outstanding two-year cross country and track careers in which he ran personal records in the one-mile (4:31), 3-mile (16:21) and 5K (17:06).
In cross country, he led his team in every race all the way through the State meet where he came in 27th in the 4A Division and 52nd overall.
During the track season, he was part of the 4A State Championship-winning team for both indoor and outdoor. Reich ran a personal record, 1:58.57 in the 800-meter race at the State outdoor meet, finishing seventh. He was named First-Team All-County in the Frederick News Post and Second-Team All-MVAL for his division.
A two-year member of GTJHS's National Honor Society, Reich graduated high school with highest honors. He has ranked in the top-60 of his class since being enrolled in high school.
