Amy Runciman Named First Team All-CACC for Women’s Soccer

Another solid year for Goldey-Beacom sophomore Amy Runciman (Luton, England) finally got her just due as she was named first team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for women's soccer.
 
Runciman has been one of the squad's most reliable and consistent players, displaying great scoring touch and solid leadership.  She is eighth in the country with 10 assists, 40th with 30 points, tied for 86th with nine goals and has a point in five of her last six contests.
 
Among her top games this season included a hat trick to go with an assist October 1 vs. Chowan, three assists vs. Dominican (NY) on October 17 and two goals with an assist against Bloomfield on October 24.  She has a point in 10 of the Lightning's 17 contests this year.
 
The record book has Runciman's name all over the place.  This season, she is tied for sixth in team history with nine goals, tied for third with 10 assists and fourth with 28 points.  For her career, Runciman's 16 assists are tied for third and her 38 points puts her tied for ninth.
 
All of this has GBC (8-9, 5-7 CACC) in the conference tournament for a second straight year.  It is the first time this has happened since the squad went four consecutive seasons from 2003-06.
 
Goldey-Beacom is the No. 8 seed and will visit top-seeded Georgian Court in the quarterfinals on Tuesday at 2:00 pm in Lakewood, NJ.
