Lexi Bruno and Shakeem Wilson Return to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll

Familiar faces for Goldey-Beacom returned to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll with sophomore Lexi Bruno (Millville, NJ) making the women basketball list a third consecutive time and junior Shakeem Wilson (Brooklyn, NY) appearing on the men's basketball ledger a second straight week.
 
Bruno averaged 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals over two games.  She scored 14 points Tuesday against University of the Sciences and came back Saturday with 13 at New Haven.
 
It has been yet another solid start to yet another impressive year for last season's CACC Rookie of the Year and second team All-CACC pick.  Bruno is tied for sixth in the league with 15.0 points per game, third with 4.6 assists per contest, 11th with a 1.9 assist-to-turnover ratio, 14th with 2.1 steals per game and 23rd with a .404 shooting percentage.  She is 70th in the nation in assists and 97th in assist-to-turnover ratio.
 
Bruno is seventh in school history with 75 three-pointers and eighth with 178 assists.  Last year, she made the Weekly Honor Roll four times and was tabbed the Rookie of the Week four times.
 
Wilson over two games averaged 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in addition to shooting 53 percent (10-of-19) from the floor and 12-for-15 from the line.  He scored 22 points on 6-of-9 shooting, hauled in six rebounds and went 9-for-10 from the line Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's 70-54 victory over Millersville.  He also had 12 points and three rebounds Wednesday vs. Arkansas-Fort Smith.
 
Wilson has been a solid contributor to the young Lightning.  He is eighth in the country with 42 made free throws and ninth with 53 attempted.  Wilson also is seventh in the league with 18.3 points per game, sixth with a .558 shooting percentage, 15th with a .792 free throw percentage, 19th with 2.7 assists per game and tied for 20th with 1.7 three-pointers per contest. 
 
Both teams are in action Wednesday at Holy Family.  The women's game in Philadelphia starts at 6:00 pm and the men's contest begins at 8:00 pm.
