The year Goldey-Beacom sophomore midfielder Amy Runciman (Luton, England) had for the women's soccer team was worthy of multiple awards and she received another today in being tabbed second team Conference Commissioners Association All-East Region.

Runciman had an incredible campaign in which she also was picked first team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.  She ended the year eighth in the country with 0.56 assists per game (10 total), 32nd with 1.67 points per contest (30 total) and 84th with 0.56 goals per game (10 total).  Her assists were first in the CACC, her points were third and her goals were fourth.

The Lightning's record book also needs to be adjusted thanks to Runciman.  Her 10 goals this season is sixth best in school history and her 30 points are fourth.  Her 12 career goals puts her three outside the top 10 and her 40 points has her 10th in GBC annals.

Among Runciman's top games this season included a hat trick to go with an assist October 1 vs. Chowan, three assists vs. Dominican (NY) on October 17 and two goals with an assist against Bloomfield on October 24.  She had a point in 11 of the Lightning's 18 contests this year, including six of the last seven.

Her effort this season put Goldey-Beacom (8-10, 5-7 CACC) in the conference tournament for a second straight year.  It was the first time this happened since the squad went four consecutive seasons from 2003-06.
