Three for Goldey-Beacom Named to CACC Weekly Honor Roll

Goldey-Beacom saw three of its student-athletes named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll with freshman Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) from volleyball, junior Nina Sengl (Puchheim, Germany) from tennis and junior Rerom Delys (Vila Velha, Brazil) from men's soccer so honored.

Florence averaged 9.0 assists per set last week to go with 25 total digs and 11 aces in helping Goldey-Beacom go 2-1. She had 51 assists in the squad's five-set win Saturday over Mercy and 23 digs as well in the match. She began the day with 28 assists, eight aces that included four consecutive and eight digs in a three-set win over Cheyney.

Sengl went 2-0 in both third singles and first doubles to help Goldey-Beacom split two matches. The two singles wins gives her 24 career, moving her into ninth place in school history. She got a straight sets win in singles Friday at Post before an easy triumph Saturday over Molloy. She also teamed with Merel Ann van Zanten (Velserbroek, Netherlands) for two wins at first doubles.

Delys scored twice last week to help Goldey-Beacom go 1-1. He scored the lone goal for the Lightning on Wednesday against Philadelphia University and then found the back of the net Sunday at Felician.
