Easter Picked CACC Men’s XC Runner of the Week; Rozet Tabbed to Women’s Tennis Weekly Honor Roll

Another great week for Goldey-Beacom athletics saw senior Aaron Easter (Elkton, MD) named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week and junior Pauline Rozet (Malakoff, France) picked to the Women's Tennis Honor Roll.

Easter posted his first career victory on Saturday in capturing the GBC Fall Classic. He led at virtually every marker over the eight-kilometer course and cruised in 28:34.48, winning by 35 seconds. His triumph helped the Lightning capture the team title by 20 points over league-rival Philadelphia University.

Rozet gutted out a thrilling victory Thursday over Stefanie Canals-Bake of Concordia (NY) at fourth singles. She fought off several match points in an 18-point match tiebreak which went well beyond that to record a 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (15-13) triumph.

The cross county teams on Friday head to Lehigh for the prestigious Paul Short Invitational. The women's tennis squad is on the road Wednesday to visit Chestnut Hill.
