Lindsay Przywara and Elena Power Gain CACC Weekly Honors

Goldey-Beacom freshman Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ) has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player and Rookie of the Week for volleyball with junior Elena Power (Glassboro, NJ) picked Player of the Week for women's soccer.

Przywara continued her amazing play with 54 kills, 31 digs and six aces over three matches. She began things with a career-best 23 kills along with 14 digs that matched her personal best in Wednesday's 3-0 victory at Wilmington. Przywara also had 20 kills and 10 digs Saturday vs. Mercy after getting 11 and seven earlier in the day at Bloomfield.

Enjoying an impeccable run to date, Przywara is 97th in the country with 3.46 kills per set and 19th in the CACC with a .213 hitting percentage.

Power scored five goals last week to help Goldey-Beacom record two huge victories. She began things Tuesday by netting her first career hat trick in a 4-3 victory at Holy Family. Power iced things Saturday with two goals, including the double-overtime winner, in a 2-1 triumph at Post.

Power's effort vaulted her into a tie for 16th place in the league with five goals and a tie for 25th with 10 points.

The volleyball team is home Tuesday against Georgian Court at 7:00 pm and the women's soccer team faces Wilmington (DE) on Wednesday at 3:00 pm at Kirkwood Soccer Complex.
