Cameron Wilkinson and Chahin Aghrim Named Academic All-District

In one of the top honors bestowed upon a student-athlete, Goldey-Beacom junior Cameron Wilkinson (Terrigal, Australia) and sophomore Chahin Aghrim (Bonn, Germany) each were tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-District.

Wilkinson, a co-captain and Economics major, has been one of the leaders of the squad on and off the field. The two-time member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll is a vital midfielder for a team which is 66th in the nation with a 1.20 goals against average and 125th with a 0.18 shutout percentage.

Wilkinson has started 16-of-17 contests this season and has made 44 starts over 52 career games. He has led Goldey-Beacom this season to three shutouts and 13 games in which the squad did not permit more than one goal.

Aghrim, an Information Technology and International Business major, has used his incredible speed and footwork to make himself one of the league's top midfielders. He is 86th in the country with five assists, 143rd with 0.31 assists per game, tied for sixth in the CACC in assists and tied for 17th with four goals.

Aghrim has started 15-of-16 games this year and has made 25 starts out of 29 career matches.

Goldey-Beacom (9-6-2, 6-4-2 CACC) either will be the fifth or sixth seed for the conference quarterfinals next Tuesday. It will face either Caldwell, Georgian Court or Wilmington (DE).
