Bruno Repeats as CACC Player of the Week; Bryson Named to Weekly Honor Roll

Lexi Bruno (Millville, NJ) put forth yet another solid performance in repeating as Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, fellow junior Britani Bryson (Hampton, VA) was named to the Weekly Honor Roll and senior Shakeem Wilson (Brooklyn, NY) was picked to the Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Bruno averaged 22.0 points on 46 percent shooting (21-of-46), 7.3 assists and 4.7 rebounds over three games.  She could not be stopped Saturday against Shepherd, scoring 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting with six assists and two steals in the Lightning's 77-65 victory.  Bruno also had 21 points, six rebounds and five assists Tuesday vs. Chestnut Hill before recording 17 points and 11 assists Thursday at New York Tech.
 
Bruno continues to amaze as one of the region's elite competitors.  She is 18th in the country with 20.0 points per game, fifth with 400 minutes, eighth with 56 assists, ninth with 77 baskets, 31st with 27 three-pointers, 40th with 5.1 assists per contest and 53rd with 39 made free throws.
 
She also is seventh in school history with 1,189 points, second with 346 assists, third with 155 three-pointers, fifth with 138 steals, sixth with 424 baskets and 10th with 186 free throws.
 
Bryson averaged 12.3 rebounds as part of three double-doubles to help Goldey-Beacom go 3-0.  She had 20 points and 10 rebounds Tuesday against Chestnut Hill, 15 and 13 Thursday at New York Tech followed by 20 and 14 Saturday vs. Shepherd.  In Thursday's victory, Bryson hit the go-ahead layup with 29 seconds left in a 70-67 win.
 
Bryson is fifth in the country with 115 rebounds, tied for 14th with five double-doubles, 22nd with 67 baskets, 27th with 10.5 rebounds per game, 42nd with 346 minutes and ninth in the league with 13.8 points per contest.  It is her third selection this season to the Weekly Honor Roll.
 
She is fourth in school history with 84 blocks, tied for seventh with 613 rebounds and 11th with 828 points.

 
Wilson scored 24 points on 7-of-10 shooting and went 9-for-11 from the free throw line to go with four assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block in Goldey-Beacom's 70-67 victory Saturday at Lincoln (PA).
 
Wilson is 27th in the league with 12.5 points per game, fifth with 1.8 steals per game and 31st with a .434 field-goal percentage.
