Lexi Bruno (Millville, NJ) enjoyed three games to remember in being tabbed Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week a third straight week, fellow junior Britani Bryson (Hampton, VA) was named Defensive Player of the Week with junior Dante Thompson (Coram, NY) and sophomore Corey Taite (Sayreville, NJ) picked to the Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Bruno averaged 26.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.7 steals in playing 118 of a possible 120 minutes.  Friday was her night, pouring in a career-best 38 points on 13-of-23 shooting with seven assists, six rebounds, four 3-pointers and a steal in the Lightning's 74-70 win over Shippensburg.  Bruno also had 27 points, six rebounds, four assists, four steals and three 3-pointers Sunday at Wilmington (DE) to go with 14 points and seven rebounds Monday vs. New Haven.
 
Bruno once again is among the nation's elite as she is seventh in the country with 21.4 points per game, first with 518 minutes, fourth with 101 baskets, fifth with 72 assists and seventh with 62 made free throws.  She also is sixth in school history with 1,268 points, second with 362 assists, third with 163 three-pointers, sixth with 448 baskets, fifth with 146 steals and ninth with 209 free throws.
 
Bryson's presence in the post is undeniable, especially after averaging 12.7 rebounds to go with 10.0 points per contest.  She hauled in 19 rebounds Sunday – two short of her career high – to go with 13 points at Wilmington (DE) for her seventh double-double of the season and fifth in the last six games.  Bryson also had 11 rebounds and 12 points Monday vs. New Haven before getting eight and five Friday against Shippensburg.
 
Bryson is third in the country with 153 rebounds, seventh with seven double-doubles, has notched a double-double in four of her last five games, 16th with 426 minutes, 16th with 10.9 rebounds per game, 16th with 81 baskets and tied for 12th in the league with 13.0 points per contest.  She is 10th in school history with 858 points, sixth with 651 rebounds and fourth with 85 blocks.
 
This comes on the heels of Goldey-Beacom (9-5, 5-1 CACC) learning it is tied for ninth in the latest D2SIDA East Region Poll.  The Lightning are on an eight-game winning streak that is one shy of the school record from 2012-13 and their six-game home winning streak is two off the top mark from 2011-12.
 
Thompson averaged 17.5 points on 11-of-18 shooting and 8.0 rebounds over two games last week.  He scored a season-best 27 points on 9-of-12 shooting and was 9-for-11 from the line Sunday at Wilmington (DE).  Thompson also had eight points and eight rebounds Monday in Goldey-Beacom's 90-63 rout of Pace.
 
Thompson is 50th in the league with 9.4 points per game, 13th with 6.6 rebounds per contest and is averaging 14.0 points and 9.0 rebounds over his last four games.
 
Taite averaged 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals over two games.  He had 10 rebounds Monday against Pace with eight defensive boards to go with four steals, 19 points and six assists.  Taite also had five rebounds, a steal, 14 points and three assists Sunday at Wilmington.
 
Taite is 33rd in the league with 11.5 points per game, 16th with 2.9 assists per game, 17th with 16 steals and 21st with a .364 three-point percentage.

 
The Lightning (7-3, 3-2) recently enjoyed a six-game winning streak and have won their last three home contests.
