Four for Goldey-Beacom Garner Weekly CACC Honors

Another star-spangled week for Goldey-Beacom's soccer teams earned them four spots on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Chahin Aghrim (Bonn, Germany) was picked the league's Men's Soccer Player of the Week, fellow sophomore Suhail Bismilla (Johannesburg, South Africa) was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week, senior Cindell Aguirre (El Paso, TX) was named to the Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll a second straight week and junior Amy Runciman (Luton, England) also was picked to the Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Aghrim played a vital role in two big victories with a pair of two-goal contests.  He ended his week by scoring the final goal with 1:12 left in Goldey-Beacom's come-from-behind 3-2 victory Saturday over Concordia (NY).  Aghrim also scored twice Wednesday in the Lightning's 3-0 win over the District of Columbia.
 
Aghrim is tied for the conference lead with four goals, three assists and 11 points.
 
Bismilla went 2-0 last week with eight total saves.  He had five saves Saturday against Concordia (NY) after getting three Wednesday vs. the District of Columbia.
 
Bismilla is tied for first in the CACC with three wins, third outright with a 1.32 goals-against average and fourth with a .750 save percentage.
 
Aguirre went 2-1 in goal with two shutouts.  She made a career-best 12 saves in Tuesday's 3-0 victory over Queens (NY), had six saves Thursday vs. Shippensburg and notched five in Saturday's 2-0 win over Concordia (NY).
 
Aguirre is first in the league with a .903 save percentage, 0.49 goals-against average and five victories.
 
Runciman ended with three goals and an assist over three games.  She had two goals and an assist Tuesday against Queens (NY) before scoring a key insurance goal Saturday vs. Concordia (NY).
 
Runciman is tied for fourth in the league with eight points and tied for fourth with three goals.  She is second in school history with 18 assists, sixth with 48 points and tied for ninth with 15 goals.
 
The women's unit (5-1, 2-0 CACC) is off to its best start in school history and will be home Tuesday against Georgian Court (3-2, 3-0) at 3:00 pm.  The men's squad (4-1, 2-0) also is off to a solid beginning and will host Georgian Court (3-2, 3-0) are home Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
