After an incredible offensive display from Saturday that had to be seen, Goldey-Beacom junior Corey Taite (Sayreville, NJ) was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week and freshman Marcellus Livingston (Linden, NJ) was tabbed the league's Rookie of the Week.

Taite scored a career-best 40 points Saturday, shot 14-for-18 from the line in addition to getting four 3-pointers, four assists and three rebounds in a wild 113-111 Goldey-Beacom victory over Adelphi. Taite ended his week averaging 27.5 points on 17-of-37 shooting with nine assists, six 3-pointers and five rebounds over two games.

Again serving as one of the catalysts for a strong offense and defense, Taite is 15th in the country with 26 steals, 19th with 63 made free throws, 30th with 2.36 steals per game, 82nd with 380 minutes and fifth in the league with 18.0 points per contest.

Taite moved into 14th in school history with 853 career points, climbed to eighth with 204 assists, escalated to fifth with 223 career free throws and is sixth with 126 steals.

Livingston scored a career-high 30 points on 11-of-13 shooting and hauled in a personal-best 11 rebounds Saturday for his first career double-double. Continuing what has been an impressive start, Livingston averaged 18.5 points on 13-of-23 shooting and 7.5 rebounds over two games last week with five 3-pointers, four assists and four steals.

A great addition to an already potent offense, Livingston is 51st in the league with 8.9 points per game, 11th with a .406 three-point percentage, 24th with a .443 field-goal percentage and 49th with 3.9 rebounds per contest.

Goldey-Beacom is in action Tuesday for a CACC contest at Georgian Court, starting at 8:00 pm. The women's contest between the same schools precedes it at 6:00 pm.
