Corey Taite Picked to CACC Weekly Honor Roll

Goldey-Beacom junior Corey Taite (Sayreville, NJ) has been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for a second time this season.

Taite averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.0 assists over two games in going 18-for-19 from the foul line. He scored 18 points Wednesday at LIU Post, with five steals, four rebounds and three assists in addition to going 7-for-8 from the line over the last 54 seconds in a 75-64 win. Taite also had 18 points, six rebounds, three steals and three assists Saturday at Chestnut Hill, going 4-for-4 from the line in the last 16 seconds in a 78-74 triumph.

Once again proving to be a key player at guard, Taite is 14th in the nation with 2.86 steals per game, 20th with 20 steals, 44th with 36 minutes per contest and 83rd with 37 free throws made.

Taite also is 16th in school history with 769 points, seventh with 120 steals and ninth with 197 free throws. Included in his career is him being named to the 2016 City of Basketball Love Division II All-Rookie Team.

Goldey-Beacom (3-4, 1-0 CACC), winners of three straight, closes its three-game road trip Wednesday at Millersville. Game time is 7:00 pm.
