Bryson, Thompson and Williams Picked to CACC Weekly Honor Roll

More victories for Goldey-Beacom's teams produced more honors with junior Britani Bryson (Hampton, VA), Dante Thompson (Coram, NY) and senior Riyan Williams (Dunkirk, MD) named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Bryson once again is showing why she is one of the nation's top frontcourt players by averaging 13.0 points on 10-of-18 shooting and 7.0 rebounds over two games with three blocks and two steals.  She scored 18 points in reaching 1,000 for her career and grabbed five rebounds in Goldey-Beacom's 68-56 victory over Post.  Bryson also had eight points and nine rebounds Wednesday at Philadelphia U.
 
She is sixth in the country with 253 rebounds, tied for eighth with 13 double-doubles, 19th with 10.5 rebounds per game, 33rd with 142 baskets, 90th with 749 minutes and 13th with 14.0 points per contest.
 
Bryson continues to climb up in the Lightning's record books, sitting ninth with 1,011 points, fourth with 96 blocks and fifth with 751 rebounds.
 
Thompson continued was has been a remarkable stretch for him, averaging 17.5 points on 14-of-24 shooting and 5.5 rebounds over two games last week with four steals and a block.  He scored 23 points Saturday on 11-of-16 shooting with eight rebounds, three steals and a block in Saturday's 85-63 win over Post.  Thompson started his week with 12 points and three rebounds Wednesday his squad's huge 71-66 triumph at Philadelphia U.
 
Thompson is 26th in the conference with 12.6 points per game, fourth with a .543 shooting percentage, 13th with 6.6 rebounds per contest and is averaging 15.8 points over his last 12 games.
 
Williams also has been a force up front and had himself a week with 13.5 points per game on 11-of-21 shooting and 9.0 rebounds over two games with four steals.  He had eight points, 10 rebounds and two steals Wednesday to go with eight points at Philadelphia U.  Williams also amassed 19 points, eight rebounds and two steals Saturday vs. Post.
 
The men's squad (19-3, 13-2 CACC) is riding a school-record 12-game winning streak, is in first place in the CACC South Division by 1 1/2 games, is one victory away from tying the schools' single-season record and is ranked seventh in the latest D2SIDA
East Region poll.  It also is 19th in the country with a .502 shooting percentage and 19th with a .864 winning percentage.
 
The women's team (15-9, 11-4 CACC) has won four of its last five contests and is second in the CACC South Division, one game behind University of the Sciences (12-5).
 
Both teams are in action Saturday at Bloomfield with the women playing at 1:00 pm and the men at 3:00 pm.
