Tevin Thomas Named CACC Rookie of the Week

Freshman Tevin Thomas (Dover, DE) continued what has been an outstanding start to a promising career in being named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week a second time.

Thomas batted .455 (5-for-11) last week with four runs and two RBI over three games. He had two hits and an RBI in each of the first two games of Goldey-Beacom's series with Queens (NY) and one in the finale to run his hitting streak to nine games.

With a hit in all nine games he has played this season, Thomas is batting .483 (14-for-29) that puts him eighth in the CACC. He also is tied for first with 14 hits and tied for sixth with seven RBI.

The award comes two weeks after Thomas also was picked the league's Player of the Week.

Goldey-Beacom is home Friday against 13th-ranked Mercyhurst for a noon doubleheader in Hockessin, DE.
