Lexi Bruno Named to CACC All-Tournament Team

Another award has made its way to Goldey-Beacom junior Lexi Bruno (Millville, NJ), who was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball All-Tournament Team for a second time.

Bruno got this honor after closing with 20 points, four rebounds, four steals, three assists and two 3-pointers in Goldey-Beacom's 63-59 quarterfinal loss February 25 to Dominican (NY). She also was cited for this award as a freshman two seasons ago.

It was the latest honor this season for Bruno, who was picked first team all-league a second straight year after being the CACC Rookie of the Year and second team all-conference in 2015. Last season, Bruno was named the top Division II player in the country under 5'5" by Hero Sports.

Bruno is 21st in the country with 18.9 points per game, 18th with 36.72 minutes per game, 20th with 5.5 assists per game, 40th with 75 three-pointers, 42nd with 186 baskets and 72nd with 61 steals. She also is one of just 14 players this season to record a triple-double this season, getting 19 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds February 21 at Chestnut Hill.

Bruno is second in school history with 1,516 points, first with 203 three-pointers, first with 449 assists, tied for second with 533 baskets, fifth with 181 steals and eighth with 247 free throws.

Goldey-Beacom (17-12, 13-6 CACC) this season appeared in the CACC Tournament for the seventh time in the last eight years and recorded its greatest victory total since amassing 20 wins in 2012-13.
