Freshman Alanna Speaks (Wilmington, DE) was tabbed Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Player and Rookie of the Week, one of three for Goldey-Beacom to be honored by the league.

In addition, freshman Ethan Maguire (Sydney, Australia) was named CACC Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week with senior Artur Zvinchuk (Bonn, Germany) picked to the sport's Weekly Honor Roll.

Speaks recorded her first career hat trick in Goldey-Beacom's 5-2 victory Saturday at Concordia (NY). She scored twice in the first nine minutes to help get things going and then tallied in the 63rd minute.

It was yet another solid performance to help the Lightning (3-0-1, 2-0 CACC) remain undefeated. After starting 4-0 last season, they are unbeaten during their first four games in back-to-back years for the first time in school history.

Maguire scored last twice last week in a pair of Lightning victories, helping them to three straight wins. He netted his first collegiate goal Thursday against Pittsburgh-Johnstown in a 7-0 rout and then tallied Saturday at Concordia (NY) in a 4-0 win.

Zvinchuk had two goals and an assist as part of his continued solid play at midfield for GBC (3-1, 1-0). He scored Goldey-Beacom's first goal Saturday and later had an assist in the squad's win at Concordia (NY). He also scored Thursday in the team's blanking of Pittsburgh-Johnstown.

Both teams are home this week against Chestnut Hill. The women play Tuesday at 3:00 pm and the men go Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
