Keegan Marsden Named to CACC Baseball Weekly Honor Roll

Goldey-Beacom senior infielder Keegan Marsden (Stratford, ON) is coming off a strong week against one of the nation's top teams and was picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Marsden batted .444 (4-for-9) last week with a home run, two RBI, a .778 slugging percentage and a .615 on-base percentage over four games at Millersville.  He had two hits, a home run and two RBI in game one Saturday before getting two more hits in game one Sunday.
 
Marsden a season ago was one of two for GBC to start all 45 games.  He ended 87th in the nation with 0.67 walks per game, 16th in the CACC with 10 doubles, seventh with 42 runs, eighth with five home runs, 16th with a .410 on base percentage, 17th with a .455 slugging percentage, fourth on the team with 38 hits and tied for sixth with 16 RBI.  Marsden also recorded the first home run and four-hit game in program history in addition to being its first base runner.
 
In the offseason, Marsden played for the Fort McMurray (Alberta) Giants in the Western Major Baseball League, pacing the league in walks and closing fourth with nine home runs.
 
Marsden this season is batting .296 with eight hits, three home runs and six RBI.
