An outstanding season for Goldey-Beacom's baseball team got even better with the announcement that four of its student-athletes have been named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference teams.

Senior Raul Perez-Duran (Trenton, NJ) was tabbed first team all-conference one year after being named second team.  Junior Brandon Abdul (Old Bridge, NJ) also was picked first team with senior Keegan Marsden (Stratford, ON) and freshman Trevor Jump (Wilmington, DE) named second team.

Perez-Duran once again flourished in the outfield and in brief appearances on the mound.  As one of two players for the Lightning who started all 48 games, he is 38th in the nation with 22 stolen bases, 64th with 0.47 stolen bases per game, 79th with 15 doubles, 29th in the league with 48 hits and 33rd with a .300 batting average.

His doubles and stolen bases are single-season team records.

A gifted athlete who has made an impact from the moment he stepped on to campus last year, Perez-Duran had many memorable contests.  One of them was April 21 against Dominican (NY), when he notched a school-record five stolen bases as part of a game in which he also collected four hits, two RBI and a double.  He closed that doubleheader with eight hits, three doubles and three RBI.

Abdul made it as a utility player, continuing to help the squad make noise and an impact in every possible way.  He is 57th in the country with just 7.06 hits allowed per nine innings, fifth in the league with 61 strikeouts, sixth with 8.85 strikeouts per game, seventh with 10 starts, 10th with 62 innings pitched, 31st with a .220 batting average against, 36th with a .389 on-base percentage and 46th with a .282 batting average.

His strikeouts are a school record and his innings pitched are second.

Single-game memories also made their way to Abdul's docket.  He notched a school-record 14 strikeouts April 21 against Dominican (NY) as part of a contest in which he yielded just one run and one hit over eight innings.  That came in his following appearance after getting 10 strikeouts over seven innings April 13 at University of the Sciences.

Marsden this season made the transition to second base and again proved to be a valuable asset.  He is fourth in the conference with six home runs, 13th with a .503 slugging percentage, 17th with a .421 on-base percentage, 17th with 32 RBI, 23rd with 50 hits, 29th with a .307 batting average and 48th with six stolen bases.

His RBI are a school record, his hits are tied for first and his doubles are second.

Marsden paced the Lightning with 14 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI contests.  He also notched an 11-game hitting streak, one game shy of the school record.

Jump gave everything he had in his debut season and turned out to be one of the Lightning's most feared pitchers.  He is 24th in the country with 6.31 hits allowed per nine innings, ninth in the league with five wins, ninth with a 3.56 ERA, 10th with 7.28 strikeouts per game, 15th with 45 strikeouts, 15th with a .197 batting average against and 17th with nine starts.

His victories this season are a team record.

Jump struck out 11 on April 14 at Post, which was the school record for one week, on a day in which he surrendered no runs and one hit over eight innings.  In each of his two previous starts, he notched seven strikeouts as part of a personal four-game winning streak.  Jump on April 30 got the victory at Jefferson with a conference-tournament berth hanging in the balance for both schools, striking out four over six innings in his squad's 17-3 rout.

Goldey-Beacom (19-28-1, 17-15 CACC) had an incredible campaign in just its second year since the reinstitution of a sport that competed for Goldey College more than a half-century ago.  The combination of freshmen and seasoned players helped the unit win five of its last eight games to end fourth in the CACC South Division and reach the conference tournament for the first time in school history.
