Hall of Fame

(Criteria) / (Nomination Form)4877

Goldey-Beacom College is proud to celebrate its history with the Athletics Hall of Fame.  Any student-athlete, coach, administrator or team at the College can be nominated so long as they meet eligibility requirements.  All nominees will go through the selection committee and those elected must gain approval by the approval committee.

There are three eras that are defined by the Hall of Fame Committee: The Early Years (through 1979), the NAIA Era (1990-2003) and the NCAA Era (2003-present).

All nominees will become eligible five years after their time at Goldey-Beacom College has expired.  A student-athlete who transfers out of GBC to compete at another institution will not be considered for election.  A student-athlete who transfers in from another institution and finishes at GBC is eligible for election.

An individual/team may be recommended for consideration through the athletics web site.  Additional material on said party might be requested to help the committee in their selection.  Failure to send such material to the committee will disqualify the nominee.  The criteria for the Hall of Fame details all requirements for recommendation, election and induction.  Any changes to the criteria must be approved by no fewer than 51 percent of the committee.

No more than three parties will be elected to the Hall of Fame in a given year.  A party is defined as an individual, coach, administrator or team.

All individuals/teams who are elected must possess and shall possessed such qualities such as character, commitment and service.

Please note two classes (Class IV and Class V) were inducted in 2022.  Dan & Matt DiGiacobbe, Joe Kissel and the 2010-11 Women's Basketball team were part of Class IV.  Alex Smith, Devonne Richadson, Azeez Ellegood, Michael Finizio and Brian Conley were part of Class V.
