Goldey-Beacom was the beneficiary of the inaugural Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Team Academic Awards, tying for best in the conference with four winners.

The Lightning sported the best team GPA for the 2018-19 academic year in four sports with women's tennis (3.61), women's soccer (3.58), women's volleyball (3.47) and men's soccer (3.26) owning the top spots. Jefferson and University of the Sciences also had four teams win awards among the league's 16 sports.

Goldey-Beacom also tied for third in the conference with 10 of its programs (women's tennis, women's soccer, women's volleyball, women's basketball, softball, men's soccer, women's cross country, baseball, men's cross country and men's golf) recording at least a 3.0 GPA.

"This year we had many great academic achievements by our student-athletes," Assistant Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator Bethann Burke said. "This displays their hard work and dedication and also the support of our coaches, faculty and staff at Goldey-Beacom College to ensure our students are supported in every aspect of their educational experience."

The latest awards once again display the academic excellence from the College's student-athletes, not to mention its combined prolific accomplishments on the field. The Lightning's success was highlighted by women's soccer senior Cliona Crammond (Wicklow, Ireland), who was named second team Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-America in addition to being tabbed CCA third team All-America.

Crammond joined men's soccer senior Chahin Aghrim (Bonn, Germany), volleyball sophomore Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ), women's soccer junior Line Kristoffersen (Bergen, Norway) and women's soccer sophomore Rose Benjamin (North East, MD) in being picked Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District.

Goldey-Beacom also had 43 student-athletes picked to the CACC Academic Honor Roll, saw 13 in each semester notch a 4.0 GPA for that period and had 65 percent of its student-athletes end with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. GBC also sports a 3.198 GPA among its student-athletes, higher than the College's GPA among non student-athletes.
