Goldey-Beacom this week saw freshman Zach Davis (Newport News, VA) named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week, junior Anthony Charles (Mullica Hill, NJ) picked to the sport's Weekly Honor Roll with senior Morgan McLane (Clayton, DE) and sophomore McKenna Frank (Oxford, PA) named to Softball's Weekly Honor Roll.

Davis struck out 10 over six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit Thursday against Bloomfield.

Charles batted .538 (7-for-13) with two doubles, a triple and eight RBI.  In game one Thursday vs. Bloomfield, he went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and five RBI.  Charles notched one hit in each of the other three contests and is on a six-game hitting streak.

Goldey-Beacom (27-9, 17-3 CACC), ranked 24th in the country, on Monday learned it moved up to number one in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association East Region Poll.  It has been regionally ranked in this poll all season.

McLane struck out 10 over seven innings, allowing just one run and five hits Wednesday at Jefferson.

Right after the news broke, McLane broke the program's career strikeouts record and tied the school's career wins mark.  She got eight strikeouts Monday against Bridgeport in Goldey-Beacom's 5-0 victory, giving her 274 strikeouts and 33 wins.

Frank hit .571 (4-for-7) with two doubles and four RBI on Wednesday at Jefferson.  She had two hits and two RBI in each game, extending her hitting streak to 11 games.

Goldey-Beacom (28-11, 12-6 CACC) has won 10 of its last 11 games and clinched a spot in the CACC Tournament, by virtue of Felician splitting two games Monday at Dominican (NY).  It is the third straight appearance for GBC in the CACC Tournament, a feat last accomplished 19 years ago.
