Goldey-Beacom continued its march toward the NCAA Regional, ignoring damp and miserable conditions to excel in the opening round of the Edwin Cottrell Invitational in West Chester, PA.

Junior Guillermo de Miguel (Cadiz, Spain) fired 76 with a birdie to stand tied for 18th and sophomore Pedro Huerta (Merida, Spain) shot 78, getting nine pars to put him tied for 30th.  Freshman Beto Torres (Merida, Spain) carded 82 with four birdies and is tied for 48th.

GBC overall shot 302 and sits in third place.  Wilmington (DE) is first with 295 and Saint Thomas Aquinas is second at 299.
