Men’s Golf Closes Fifth at the Edwin Cottrell Invitational

Goldey-Beacom closed yet another sound week by ending fourth at the Edwin Cottrell Invitational in West Chester PA.

Senior Camilo Samur (Bucaramanga, Colombia) used two birdies and seven pars to shoot 79 and close sixth with 152. Senior Adrian Bonilla (Almeria, Spain) shot 83 to end the week tied for 18th with 158.

Sophomore Pedro Huerta (Merida, Spain) carded a final-round 83 to end tied for 27th with 161. Junior Guillermo de Miguel (Cadiz, Spain) made two birdies in the final round to shoot 86, closing the tournament tied for 29th with 162. Freshman Beto Torres (Merida, Spain) shot a final-round 89 to close 53rd with 171.

Goldey-Beacom shot 331 to end the championship at Penn Oaks Golf Club by carding 633. Wilmington won with 610.

Djaia Darrason from Saint Thomas Aquinas and Pablo Quintero from Wilmington took medalist honors with 149.

Goldey-Beacom on April 17 will compete at the Husky Invitational in Danville, PA.
