Biography
At Goldey-Beacom: Second-year player for the Lightning in 2010-11 season.
2009-10 Season: Led the Lightning in four different meets, including the Andrew Geyer Memorial Classic (10/19) when he placed 3rd with a 147…also shot a 148 at the Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational (4/4-4/5) which forced a sudden-death overtime round with the two-time reigning NCAA Division II individual national Champion, Gavin Smith (IUP) where he eventually fell and took 2nd place…placed 15th at the GBC Invitational (3/29-3/30) by carding a 76 in the one-round tournament…took 11th overall at the CACC Championships tournament (4/12-4/13) with a 160…placed 91st in the three-round NCAA Regional tournament (5/3-5/5) with a 248.
Personal: Michael Coppa…teammates call him “Coppa”…chose to come to GBC to get a quality education and play golf…chose to play Division II sports for the experience…enjoys snowboarding and playing golf.
