Biography

At Goldey-Beacom: Second-year defender who should see significant playing time on the Lightning back line in 2010.

2009 Season: Appeared in 16 games and made 10 starts…scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 road victory over Felician (9/26)…part of a defensive unit that was No. 9 in the CACC in goals against average (2.43) and pitched three shutout victories against Lincoln (9/9), Felician (9/26) and Bloomfield (10/26).

High School: Played indoor and outdoor soccer at Colegio Simon Bolivar II in Venezuela under head coach Antonio Gomez Benitez.  

Personal: Carlos Bastardo…teammates call him “Chaparro,” “Carlitos,” and “Chivas”…enjoys playing soccer, listening to music and watching movies…describes himself as “outgoing.”
