Biography

At Goldey-Beacom: Fourth-year letterwinner with an impressive career at GBC to date…looking to reach full potential in 2010.

2009 Season: Competed in all eight meets during the season, including the NCAA Regionals…placed 174th with a time of 32:21.3 at NCAA’s…ran a 26:18 and placed 62nd at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships meet…had a season-best 13th place finish at the Hunter Invitational (10/18) when she ran a 30:34…Team Leadership Award honoree.

2008 Season: Competed in eight meets during the season, including the NCAA Regionals…led the team with a 138th place finish and a time of 28:56 at NCAA’s…took 61st place at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships meet (10/25)…twice led the team, including an 84th place showing at the Blue Marlin Open at Virginia Wesleyan (8/30)…placed in the top-30 twice.

2007 Season: Ran in eight meets during the season including the NCAA Regionals…finished 162nd with a time of 30:24 at NCAA’s…ran her personal best at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships meet with a time of 24:57.

High School: Ran four seasons of cross country and did two seasons each of cheerleading and softball at Hodgson Vo-Tech…led her cross country team as captain to an undefeated season and a Vo-Tech championship in 2007…won the Most Improved Award in 2007 with a fastest personal time of 22:49…honor student and Student-Athlete Academic Award winner.

Personal: Brittney Murray…younger sister Alyssa is a sophomore on the Lightning squad…also a high school teammate of GBC’s Demetris Harding…chose to attend GBC “because I knew a business degree can take me anywhere…” chose to play Division II athletics because she wanted to continue running…enjoys hanging out with friends, shopping and going to the beach…describes herself as “laid-back.”
