Goldey-Beacom Sees Four Cited for CACC Weekly Honors

An impressive week before an enthusiastic and plentiful homecoming crowd for Goldey-Beacom saw sophomore Gabi Fullwood (Powder Springs, GA) named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, junior Brianna Anderson (Mesa, AZ) picked the sport's Defensive Player of the Week, senior Miley Jones (Pemberton, NJ) named Women's Soccer's Player of the Week and senior Derrick Muhire (Kigali, Rwanda) selected to the Men's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll.

Fullwood again was on fire with 24 kills, a .422 hitting percentage and seven blocks over two matches. She had 12 kills and a .435 percentage Tuesday against Georgian Court before recording 12, .409 and five blocks Saturday vs. Dominican (NY).

Fullwood once again is on a tear, one year after being picked CACC Rookie of the Year, first team All-CACC and second team D2CCA All-East Region. She is second in the league with a .386 hitting percentage, second with 55 blocks and third with 3.43 points per set. Fullwood is at 105 career blocks, just 10 from reaching the school's career top 10 list.

Anderson notched 42 digs over two matches, including 25 on Tuesday vs. Georgian Court before getting 17 on Saturday against Dominican (NY).

Playing a major role all season on defense, Anderson is third in the league with 4.50 digs per set.

Jones scored twice Saturday against Dominican (NY), including the decider in the 85th minute of Goldey-Beacom's 3-2 victory.

In recording her first career brace, Jones now is at seven career goals and 15 points.

Muhire scored twice over two games last week. He now is at three goals on the campaign and five career.

The women's soccer team on Tuesday is at Wilmington for a 3:30 pm match, the men are at Wilmington on Wednesday at 3:30 pm and Volleyball is home Wednesday against Holy Family at 6:00 pm.
